During the mid-aughts, two teenaged metalhead boys become involved in an online ARG. The game is told through missives and journal entries from a British knight lost at sea who has been sent on a quest to find the Holy Grail. Washing up on the shores of the unyet colonized "New World", the knight believes he will find his treasure here, but something seems to be chasing him.

Through a myriad of clues hidden in the games' missives, the boys search for the real life location in which the kngiht claims to have found the grail, hoping to discover whatever prize waits at the end of the game. But what could that prize be? Who wrote this game? And how much of the missives based in reality?

This is a project I've only just started kicking around, mostly because of my interest in treasure hunt-style games like "The Secret" and "The Game", particularly the disastrous results of the 2002 Game scavenger hunt. The ideas of purposefully perceiving your reality to be "altered" or different is also particularly interesting to me. I am considering making this something like a visual novel as opposed to a full blown comic, if only because my mech project is absolutely going to be a hue comic and idk if I want to do something as drawing intensive either alongside or after that project.
